Happy "Hump Day"

I'm way to old to wish my life away but I tend to celebrate hump day!!! LOL. Today I'm posting just some simple cards that I made and sent to family for Valentines Day. I used the Fiskars heart squeeze with what I call the ruffle around it. It was in my bag of goodies from my FiskaFrenzy from Rebecca. I have used that little punch a ton. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new punches. Lilly and I are going to Cave City KY. to a Fiskars crop next week and I'm gearing up already. I don't really do well at crops coz I tend to socialize. Now those of you that know me I know you find that hard to believe!!! LOL..We are going to have several classes/make and takes so I'm really excited already. Okay so I'm gonna work on some layouts and get ready for my cricut class tomorrow night...Have a good Thursday everyone.....

Valentine Projects

Hopefully this week I can post a couple of my cards and projects that I have worked on for Valentines day. Even though I didn't get my mantle decorated I'm still putting a few things up. Kelly Jo put this project on the Fiskateer lead blog and it really caught my eye. I think she used larger pics and not quiet as many embellies but the jest is the same!!! I thought it would be good to put on my desk at work to cheer it up alittle!!! It is just made out of chipboard the size I used was 4 x 6 1/2 and covered it with my wonderful Valentine goodies that my friend Rebecca sent me from Cloud Nine and Fiskars. I used a piece of glitter felt and just cut a heart and used some netting and a couple of heart stick pins. The other different embellie is one that Lisa Pace had on her blog sometime ago and it is made from create paper....just plain ole create paper like when I was a kid that I used to decorate with all the time....I ran a running stitch on one edge with embordiary thread and pulled and that made the bunch effect. I then used stickles on the edges....I really enjoyed making this little project....thanks for visiting...

Cricut update

Well since it is almost time to have my next cricut class @ Sassy's I will share last month's page...I just love Ms.Bettye's cricut class as I learn something new each and every time. I did learn this time that it would have been much easier to have had the expression to do my owls with as my friends Lilly and Marsha told me. They both offered use of their's but me and the baby bug made it through!! LOL...The owls were 3 different cuts and I won't tell you how many times it took me!!! LOL Anyway I used Roger and Chubba on the beach in Naples Florida for this layout "Who's the Cutest"..I'll post my class this week soon!! Thanks for visiting....

Pretty Day

I don't know about all of you but I'm ready for sunny and 80....I hate to even say anything after the hardships our neighbors Kentucky have had with all the ice but I was so glad to see the sun today...I am still working on ATC's I signed up for two more swaps after saying I was going to catch up before signing up for anything else...oh well. I am working on a Fairy Tale ATC card and just finished a couple that I will post today. I finished up my Valentine cards and did alittle Valentine project that I will post this week. Back to Reality!!!!

Well after a wonderful week in South Florida, Roger and I are back in the 'Boro. The campground we stayed in was so very nice and the Island that we were on (Pine Island) was beautiful and very slow paced. It was as the camp "social" director told me "Old Florida". Everyone road their bikes with wonderful bike trails everywhere and flowers blooming and they even mowed the grass while we were there. It's a nice change of pace believe me!! Roger for the 1st time that I can ever, ever remember was not ready to come back home. Chubba did wonderful and is a good traveler and camper!! I came home to 2 wonderful packages from Valerie and Laura from a couple of ATC swaps. I'm ready to get back in crafting mode. I have a couple of swaps I have to get busy on and of course several pics to scrap from the trip...okay I'm rambling as its time to go to bed. Later!!

New Toy

I must show you my new toy. My sweet mother in law gave me some Christmas money and I've been looking at these and doing my usual research on things and this is what I purchased. It is a HP photo printer. I love, love it. It is so small I can carry it anywhere. It will make 5x7 or 4x6. It also has a built in touch screen with lots of options to size, add clip art, make greeting cards, borders and it is very user friendly. I didn't want to get something that was so hard to figure out that I couldn't understand it. I looked at a Canon at our Fiskafrenzy (the rep was at our crop) and I liked that printer but actually this one does more and is a bit easier to use. Okay enough about my toy!! Roger and I leave for South Florida with the camper in the morning. I'm really excited as I've never actually been to this part of Flordia and I'm looking forward to the "warm" weather....The campground is suppose to have wi-fi so I'll try to upload some pics of where we are staying...see ya later!!

Hey blogging 2 days in a row...how 'bout that. I finished up a couple of Christmas layouts and wanted to post. Somehow I managed to miss fall ball, Halloween, thanksgiving....LOL..oh well I'll pick them back up. Since I purchased my new toy that I love, love (I'll share tomorrow and make it 3 days in a row!!) I'm hoping to get more accomplished. Okay I'm gonna run and check out some of my favorite blogs....have a good Tuesday everyone!!

Christmas Acrylic Album

Finally made a few pics of projects I've been doing...the pictures are not real great because it was cloudy and rainy when I made them this evening. I did alot of sewing on the pages for the album and most of the pics are from the grandkids opening gifts on Christmas at our house. I love these little mini books and this one had lots of elements. I will put up a couple of pics and tomorrow another project...Have a good week everyone!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. I have been working on a Christmas acrylic mini book today and will try to make some pics and post tomorrow. I'm going to post a couple of pics today one of Chase's birthday. Sissy and John let them pick the resturant of their choice on birthdays and Chase chose Fugi's. We had so much fun watching them prepare our food. The next pic is "reindeer dust" that I did for Robin's 1st grade class. I got to go to her Christmas party and had a really good time. The reindeer dust is very easy to do, you just take oats and add glitter and I added a few sequins to make a little more sparkle. You can add color sugar glittle crystals as well. I have lots of projects just no pics yet so I better get busy. I hope everyone has a happy, safe and prosperous New Year.....

Merry Christmas

I cannot believe it is Christmas. Who ever said that time passes faster when you get older was exactly on the money. I have been a terribly bad blogger and have been just as bad on my blog reading and I have truly missed it. Hopefully now that the hustle and bustle of the season is somewhat behind me I can play catch up. I have so much to share but will start with a couple of pics of the grandkids and I. I promised Savannah after Robin and I went to the Nutcracker last year, that she could go someplace special this year and we went to see the Rockettes at the Opry house. We had a wonderful evening. I bought them "pretty dresses" last year when they went on sale after Christmas and they both enjoyed dressing up. As a matter of fact Savannah asked her big cousin Brady where his pretty dress was!! LOL.....Anyway I made several gifts for the girls this year and will share pics in a day or two. Have a wonderful holiday season everyone.....
