Long Time No Post

I honestly do not know where all my time goes. I must not use if wisely. Chase and Brady are still in fall ball and I'm having the best time with that. There last two games are this week and I'm sorry to see it end. Roger and I went camping last weekend but silly me did not take any pictures. When the grandkids aren't with me I tend to forget to make pics!! I'm hoping we get to go another weekend in October as fall is my favorite time to camp but he is really busy with harvest so we'll see. I'm gonna share a couple of pics today of my step son Bubba combining corn with the new combine. Also Josh has started a MAJOR project of restoring and I mean major restoring a car. It is a Mustang coupe and he calls it his winter project (maybe more than one winter!!) He gets that love from his Daddy as Butch loved fooling with old cars but then so did my dad so he got a double whammy of it!! Well I am deep into ATC swaps and have gone postal with a couple but will try to get some shots and post them tomorrow of my finished products...I am just lovin' doing those little bugers.....

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I finished up my banner for Halloween on Sat. and will post a couple of pictures. It was fun to make, I got the idea from Stephanie Ackerman's Holiday Home magazine and put my own spin on it! I took chipboard and cut it out then covered it was pattern paper. I used my treading water punch and did a trim around the board. Then I shadowed the letters with my cricut to say "BOO 2 U"....I may glitter them up alittle to just give a little shine. I embellished with some foam pumpkins and some pom poms. I punched some holes with my crop-a-dile and ran some hay twine to string. Then I just cut ramdom halloween color ribbons to add to the look. I promised the grandkids we would put up the decorations in a week or so this is just alittle something new to add....have a good week!!

Halloween bug has bit again!!

I am really on a roll with this Halloween stuff. I think it is one of my favorite times to scrap. On the Fiskateer site I am involved in an ATC swap for Halloween. I had alot of fun doing these and actually learned some things. I just googled halloween prints and about a zillion came up!! I printed and cut these out and used mod podge to adhere my cardstock (purple) to my chipboard on both sides and also used the mod podge to adhere the cute little witch. Then I coated the entire front and sprinkled the fine glitter just to give a little shimmer. I then embellished with stones and stickles on some Maya Road stars, stamped the back and put my info and there you have a Halloween ATC...I am working on another Halloween project that I will share in a couple of days...Let's just say I have to wait for Roger to bring me some hay twine to finish!!! enough of a hint??!!!

Got the Halloween fever!!

I don't know what has come over me, maybe its all of my magazines coming in with the cool Halloween layouts and projects but I'm in the mood for fall/halloween decorating. The first project that I am going to share is the Halloween Advent Calendar that I put together this last weekend. It was so much fun to do. I went to the Dollar Tree and picked up the small size cookie sheets. I went through my "stash" and pulled out Halloween papers and embellies that I had from last year. I used the Jeepers Creepers paper by Heidi Grace to do the base. The letters are glossy thickers that were in my SO kit last month. Then I just started using my punches and small Halloween goodies for the days and put a magnet on the back. Let me know what you think!!
