Candy Corn Princess

Well I have been busy with Halloween costumes...and I think I'm pretty much finished except a few last touches. My project to share today is Robin and Savannah's Candy Corn Princess Tutu's..they saw a picture of their friend Lauren in her corn princess outfit so they wanted me to come up with something like it. Well I had to put my thinking cap on because with boys I never had a need to make tutu's!! LOL....but I had such fun. Picked up some orange and black tulle, ribbons and went to work. For their shirts I just picked up tshirts @ Joann's and painted a piece of candy corn on with alittle glitter here and there! We did a trial run for their dad, Beth and Jamie at the hair shop and they wirled and twirled and had a ball...it was well worth the effort. I had enough left to make baby Maia one to so we are having a baby corn princess too!! I'll post pics of all the princess' hopefully next week..thanks for stopping by!! Halloween Tree

Just a quick post to share my finished Halloween tree...the pictures are not very good because the lighting was bad in my dining room and awfully busy background!! You get the jest of it anyway. Just used the wood ornaments from Michaels and colored with my colorbox markers. Used some "googly eyes" here and there. Made some tissue ghosts, and then added some vintage halloween prints and outlined them with gold pipe cleaners...Tied everything on with ribbons and used some spider web and spider rings in the pot for effect...this was a fun but time consuming project. My hope is to get to "play" in my room some this weekend...has been a very hectic week and I need some down time....thanks for stopping by....

Spooky Projects!!

I have been up to my eyeballs in Halloween!!! :) and seriously I am having a ball. I have a project to share with you today that I got the idea from a Halloween Blog Hop I was on. When I went to http://www.scrappinwithmybug.com/ I saw a fun project I had to try. It was a glass block "jack o lantern"...she did a really good video on how she created it. I didn't have any black vinyl so I just went an got a jack o lantern face off the web and made a pattern. I had some white sticky back paper that we had thrown away at work and I dug it out of the trash!! (imagine that!) always a scrappin' plan in mind...I took black card stock and cut it out and put it on the sticky back white paper and wa-la I had a black face with a sticky back paper....then of course I used just a orange celo. paper out of the craft section at Hobby Lobby, put in a string of 20 lights and tied a spooky bow and a polka dot bow!! I had alot of fun doing these and they were quiet easy to do...I have more projects to share so I'll see you soon...thanks for stopping by!!!

Apple Of My Eye

Happy Saturday. I promised Lilly I would load our layout of the month and of course I had forgotten to until I saw it in my scraproom this morning....sorry Lilly!! This is our September layout of the month at our LSS and Amy did an awesome job on the layout..one of the cutest ever...I didn't do mine exactly like hers but generally all elements are the same. Cricut cart. used were Doodlecharms for the basket..Campout for the frames...Plantin Schoolbooks for the font and also the apples. I love apples on a layout. I didn't not use crackle paint on my letters as I didn't have any in the color I needed so I need to add that too my stash!! (imagine that!! :)) I hope to get some Halloween/Fall decorating done this weekend but who knows......best laid plans and all of that!! haha

Crafty Sunday

What a fun crafty Sunday. Roger was spraying cotton so I decided to play in "my room" today. Had several projects I wanted to finish and a couple I wanted to start. I finished Selina's "fall banner" and she was very pleased...I will post a picture of the finished banner to share. Then my next project start is a "SPOOKY TREE" for halloween. I purchased a couple of clay flower pots from Michaels that were 40% off and of course I had a coupon with that. I painted these pots a bright orange and punched out a circle out of my fiskars circle punch to use as a pattern for my black polka dots on the pot. Then I put a layer of mod podge on this to seal it...I am making some ornaments out of wood and also some vintage prints from Scott and Martin's place (see on my side bar) and just sized them down to make a cute little embellie for the tree....I'm having so much fun with these craft projects. I will post finished products in a couple of days when they are complete. Have a great week everyone!!!

Fall Banner

I am in the mood to decorate....don't think I have been in that mood for about 2 yrs now. I think as Martha Stewart would say "its a good thing"!! My project today that I'm working on is actually for Selina and Josh (well mostly Selina!) I am working on a fall banner. I have taken thin chipboard and used George cricut cart and cut a triangle so they would be somewhat consistant. Usually I just eyeball stuff!! LOL.Next layer was just kraft paper and then I used some Cloud Nine papers that I have had for awhile that had a fall look and made my "Lisa Pace Create Paper Flowers" and decorated just with different fall designs...leaves, apples, sunflowers and of course an ear of corn. I am going to share what I have so far and hopefully this weekend I can put it together and make a finished product photo to share. I really like how this turned out ....I may have to make me one! Have a good Friday everyone!!!

We have been off on one of our "family" camping outings and I haven't had a minute to scrap. I had a wonderful weekend with my sons/spouses and grandchildren and a few friends thrown in the mix. I hope to get some photos made of a couple of projects this week and posted. This weekend is layout of the month at my local scrapbook store so that will be my challenge to finish this week!! Well tomorrow's hump day so I think I can make it 3 days this week...wink..wink!!

Wednesday...I'm countin' em down, Lord knows I am to old to wish my life away but I do love weekends!!! LOL..I have been to two classes this week and have had a ball. Don't know when I have laughed as much as I did last night and I needed it. Brenda and Allison had a wonderful Heritage class and I'm posting some pictures. Sorry about the bad colors because the papers are really, really pretty. The title on this one is "The Girl who grew up and Became A Mother"...I used my baby pictures because I don't have any baby pictures of my mom or dad and then I used a picture of both of my boys together. Any of you that really know me know I love old photos. Mom gave me another "batch" this last weekend that she found...lots of my boys at younger age and some school pictures. Anyway just a quick post of these pics and hope everyone has a great Wednesday.......

That is my favorite saying on Sunday night/Monday morning. Where does the weekend go? This was a super busy one. Had to do some stuff for my Mom on Sat. morning and Jamie's baby shower Sat. afternoon...today I watched Britt and Jeremy's 5 little monkey's!!! They give me a run for my money but so very sweet and make me laugh constantly. They wanted to go visit with Brady and Seth so I loaded up the crew and off the Josh and Selina for some "out in the yard" fun. They watched Brady and Seth ride dirt bikes and Josh took turns riding them on the 4 wheeler....what a wonderful day....I promised poor Selina who had been cleaning house we would not invade the house!! LOL...Now for the pics I'm posting. I made Britt a "Welcome Banner" for her classroom using the farm theme. I used the Animal Kingdom cart. and also Our World...thanks to Lilly for letting me borrow these. I made my friend Lisa Paces' create paper flowers and shined it up with some glitter letters and then tied it together with some black tulle... oh and the base for these were actually costers from Michaels $$$ bin covered with I believe Cosmo Cricket papers!! I enjoyed making this project so much. Two classes this week so standby for pictures!!! Have a great week.

Layout of the Month--JULY

Just a quick post and a couple of pictures of my July layout of the month from Sassy Scrapper. We do a once a month "Layout of the Month" beginning the first of the year. It is designed by one of the girls at Sassy and we copy it. I usually stay pretty close to the sample but, I have been known to put my own spin on it!!! I used some pictures of camping from the 4th of July and also Uncle Dave Macon days here in Murfreesboro. I am hoping to get some pics made of several of my pages this weekend and also a project that I am working on now. I have two classes next week so stand by for more pictures!!!

Busy Weekend

What a very busy weekend, but so much fun too!! I have decided the weekends are just never long enough. I went out and helped Britt and Jeremy Friday night in the classroom and Josh and Selina came out and helped too....of course I had so much fun listening to the boys pick and play like they were little boys again...I wish I had brought my camera...:) I have been cutting so many farm animals that my cricut is smoking!! LOL...I cut 5" and 6" animals to use as name tags for their desks and also a sign for her door. This was all quiet hurried but I'm okay with the way it turned out...The name tags will have each child's name and them laminated and taped on their desk. I already have lots of ideas rolling around in my mind for the fall!!! We took Jamie out for her birthday dinner Sat. night and enjoyed she and David. It won't be long until we will have our 15th grandchild in Oct. Today we had to drive over to Lewisburg, Roger had a cousin to pass away and we went to the memorial it is always nice to see family but hate it has to be something like that to prompt it...okay I must get ready for bed..have a good week everyone and thanks for stopping by!!

My goal was to post once a week and so far so good!! LOL..This has been a super busy week at work. I haven't touched a craft this week but I'm gearing up for the weekend. Jeremy's Britt is teaching kindergarten and I'm so excited that she is letting me help her do some decorating in her room. They painted the room a sunny yellow today and now the fun begins..Lilly and I have been pooling our cricut cart. to see what I can use. She is using a "farm theme" for the room. Will that not be just precious?? I will post some of the projects as we finish. Today I am posting another couple of pages from my heritage album. This paticular paper needed to have pictures with old cars and I even found a picture of my mama standing by an old motorcycle. I asked her who it belonged to and she doesn't remember!! I actually think she just wanted to pose beside it and didn't really know the owner!! LOL...I am going to post a few random pictures of the grandkids I really need to update and put a slide show on....maybe a weekend project!!! Have a happy Friday the 13th and be careful!! :)

Almost A Year Since....

It's been almost a year since I have made a new post on my blog. I must say I have missed my blogging but Facebook has sort of taken the place of my blogging. I am trying very hard to get my crafting mojo back and I figure I need to just jump right on back into it. I have been reading several of my favorite blogs (Colette, Nancy, Jan, Crystial (aka Pinky) and have gotta the "fever" to scrap again. I have been doing a very few classes here and there but am going to try to accomplish more coz I have lots of memories to capture!! I have been working on my Heritage Album because Sassy Scrapper has been doing a once a month heritage class and I've attended when I could. I love, love scrappin' pics of my mama and daddy and all my realitives..today I'm sharing a couple of pages that we did in the last class that I attended. I think it is a very pretty layout, my skirt did not come out as pretty as Lilly's did but I lost patience at the end (imagine that!!! ) Anyway hopefully I can blog once a week...that is my goal...thanks for stopping by...

I'm Back

Well actually I have been back from Florida for a week....LOL. I have been neglecting my scrappin' both digital and paper for some time now..I have been very fortunate to have taken a couple of trips lately and it has cut into my creative time...(big LOL) Anyway I have spent the biggest part of today in "my play room" finishing pages that needed pics printed and also my Layout of the Month project. I've had such a fun day. I'm going to share a digital layout that I have just completed and I will try to photograph my paper pages tomorrow. This digital page is of Brady, Seth and Hunter at Jamie's wedding in May of this year. In one picture or another they all had this serious look so I couldn't resist...

Texas Here I Come

Gosh I have been so blessed lately to be able to take a few days off and just enjoy. Roger and I spent a few days camping last week at a wonderful campground about 1 hr. from our home. It was on the lake and wonderful...tomorrow I'm going to see my best friend in Texas. I'm going to meet her grandsons for the first time and I'm so excited....they are babies and I can just spoil away!! I have been to two classes for my digital scrappin' since I have posted. Brenda and Lee are both just wonderful teachers and I have enjoyed each class. It's beginning to gel with me and now I want to learn different techniques. Don't get me wrong by gel I mean very, very basic!!! LOL...I have decided for now I'm going to work with 8 1/2 x 11 size because I can print that here at home. The 12 x 12 I have to send away for. I am going to share just a quick couple that I did in learning different techniques....Hope everyone has a great rest of the week. I'll have lots of pics to post from Texas I'm sure...

I'm always excited when I have a few days off....can you tell!! LOL..We are heading out for another camping adventure on Sunday, Roger, Chubba and I. This time we are going to another different campground in Carthage TN. I have tried to schedule new places this summer and not the same ones we normally go to. Roger bores very easily when he doesn't have his farm toys and new places help.:) I had another wonderful digital class this week with Brenda and it was as awesome as the last. Lee also hung out with us and is very talented in the digital world....I am sharing what I did in class and a couple that I ventured out on my own and did. I'm lovin' this digi stuff but of course I still love the paper and embellies in my hands..:) Have a wonderful, safe weekend...I'll try to post again before we go....

It's hot but I'm such a summer fan I'm not going to complain. Today I'm going to share a couple of layouts that I have just finished..One two pager is for our layout of the month this month at my LSS. I decided since it was birthday themed that I would use Roger's 60th birthday pictures from last Sept. I have been meaning to scrap them and this seemed like the perfect layout to do so....All of the kids were in attendance except Jamie and David and they were still living in Knoxville at the time...the next one is another wedding layout of Jamie and David's wedding. I still haven't seen the "good" pictures I'm still scrappin' snapshots that Josh did for me...Can't wait to get my hands on some of the "real" pictures.....LOL..Stay cool...

Happy Father's Day

Gosh I miss my daddy....especially on Father's day...Roger and I had the nicest weekend camping. We left on Thursday and came back today. We stayed at a campground near Nashville on Percy Priest lake. We didn't have a direct lake spot but we had a beautiful shady, woodsey (is that a word?) spot. Chubba loved watching for squirrels and taking walks...before we left one of my best Fiskateer buddies came to Tennessee to visit. Merlene and her husband were in Arkansas and she convienced Tom to come on up to Tennessee to visit. I'm so glad she did it was good to see her again. I met her in San Antonio Texas a couple of years ago and we made friends instantly. She is from Tuscon Arizona and loved all of our "green"!!..Several of my scrappin' friends met at Sassy Scrapper our LSS and went to dinner. Cristal Hobbs (aka Pinky) was so kind in arranging everything for us. I'm posting a picture of all of us....Then my last pic is of "my girls"...I went by Jeremy's and Josh's today to wish them a happy father's day. They are both really wonderful fathers. The girls were swimming and of course I could not resist some pictures...Hope everyone has a great week....stay cool...

Sunny and Hot

Just the way I like it...sunny and hot. Went and sat out by the pool and looked at the pond/waterfall Josh and Selina have built (without my camera what was I thinking!!??) I'll get pictures when they get it all complete but it is awesome. I could listen to a waterfall or a fountain forever..Have been doing a little organizing and a little scrappin' today. Getting ready to do some pics of Jamie and David's wedding. I did one layout today that is not my normal layout. I have seen some layouts somewhat like this and just wanted to try my hand. The other layout is two pictures that are very precious to me. My best friends from Texas were in a few weeks ago and both the boys came by to see them...we made lots of pics and just wanted to do a simple layout of a few of my favorites...well Big Daddy is going to a tractor pull tonight so who knows I might do somemore scrappin'........

Beautiful day for a wedding

It was a beautiful day for a wedding and a beautiful setting as well...Jamie and David got married last Sat. May 30 in Pigeon Forge. We all stayed at a beautiful village of cabins and the wedding party stayed in a huge lodge that was just perfect...Jamie was a beautiful bride and all of the kids got to come except Jeremy and his girls. He could not get off work so we made lots of pics for him to see...I am going to share just a few snap shots that Josh took for me of the actual wedding...Now I'm back home and need to get busy with my crafting projects!!

I always think about my daddy so much on Memorial Day because he was a true blue American....he fought in World War II and loved his country...Thanks to all of our men and women in all branches of service...Okay got a finished project to share today. Josh had a beautiful wicker settee that we could not find a cushion set for. So Selina and I went to the fabric store and purchased some Waverly fabric on sale and I cut a pattern out of paper and here is my finished product. I had fun doing this for my first attempt, made lots of mistakes but the kids were still very, very pleased with it..Well tomorrow is work day and this weekend is Jamie's wedding. We are off to Pigeon Forge on Thursday..Have a great week everyone...

But I did....I said I was not going to get into anything else and I went and did it..Josh gave me a very nice gift card to my LSS for Mother's Day so when given the opportunity to try new things I need to do it right???? I took my first DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING CLASS...oh man I loved it...Brenda was awesome and so patient..I can't wait till my next class...I am going to share my first page and as I look at it I can see mistakes but I was pretty pleased with the actual way it turned out. I have had such a busy week I haven't had time to play this week but hopefully this weekend. I have been sewing up a storm all week and will share when I finish my project...Have a great holiday weekend everyone and be safe!!

Look at my goodies that I won over @ Lisa Pace's blog during the Hippity Hop workshop....I finished all of my project assignments and posted and actually won the RAK...whoooo hooooo... Also I wanted to share a partial scrap lift from Brenda @ Sassy's, when I saw her layout I knew I had to use it on this picture of Savannah. Tear Bears--Rabbits or any other animals!!!!!!

Well finally I stopped and photographed some of my latest projects to share. My newest "addiction" is tear bears/rabbits or any other animal that I have a pattern for!! LOL..Ms. Brenda's layout of the month @ my LSS was "tear rabbits". I have since rumaged through my hugh folder of "stuff" and found some bear patterns that are probably 3-5 yrs old. One thing I have learned is that the handmade paper comes in many textures and some are easier to work with than others. I prefer the thicker texture as it seems to fluff alot better. Anyway I made a couple of pics of a layout I did to share. Hopefully I will do alittle bit better blogging. I must admit I have another new addition FACEBOOK....boy I love it as I have found so many of my old friends on it so that's where I've been (hangs head in guilt......) Bad Blogger Again

Hi Everyone....well I have been a bad blogger again..haven't made any pictures of my projects and I've actually been doing alot of work outside. I painted decks all last weekend and took off Monday and finished....I'm soooooo glad that it is done. I'm hoping to get some projects done tomorrow as it is "national scrapbooking day". There is an online crop that I hope to be involved in on the Fiskateers website. They will have lots of prizes and challenges. As you will notice we have a new twitter fiskadeals that we are able to post on our blogs. This will tell of the latest sighting of fiskars "deals" on products and where to find products....This should be a huge "enabler" just what I need!!! Hope to post some pics tomorrow as I had a class in "TEAR Rabbits" and I have a "Tear Bear" pattern I want to try!! Till later....

Happy Birthday to my Mom!!

I don't have any of my latest craft adventures photographed but I wanted to share some pics that we made tonight celebrating Mom's birthday. We went over to Josh's house and had dinner and one of our "photo sessions". Savannah and Josh was our entertainment for the night as they both cut up and hamed it up for the camera. Mom had a wonderful time and that was exactly what we wanted. We missed Brady but of course with it a school night he was at his Mom's. I will try to get some pics up this week sharing my "tear rabbit" class with Ms Brenda @ Sassy's....I had a wonderful time and this is something I've been wanting to try....Happy Birthday Mama and have a good "hump day" everyone!

April Cricut Class

This month's cricut class was one of my favorites.( I beleive I say that every month!!) As always Ms.Bettye has something unique and fun and this one was no exception. I love all the "boy elements" and when I looked for pics to put on this all I could come up with when Brady was younger was racing pics....I'm sure there are bug pics somewhere in my mass of pictures but I loved these so much and they also incorporated my "big boys" so I couldn't refuse!!! I love all the arrows and layers of this layout...Next month's cricut class is awesome so I better be scouting for pics. Have a great weekend....

So Blessed

I first must say that I feel so blessed. We had major tornados yes I did say multi tornados that just devestated our town on Friday. We were not hit and all of our children/familes are just fine. Chip and Regan's neighborhood actually looks like a war zone but there house had minimal damage, trees were actually blown down on the house but didn't do major damage. Roger, Chip and some of their church members managed to get them all down with no damage.....My daughter in law Michelle's parents were not so lucky....they have major damage, I have been over at their home all day helping do whatever I can. I don't think that structurally the house will ever stand but they did manage to keep most all of their belongings which is major compared to some of the homes....It just brings tears to your eyes to walk through the neighborhoods and see people who have lost everything...please pray for the people of Murfreesboro Tennessee because there are so many people that lost everything.Okay now own to more of my "Lisa Pace class projects". The little basket that I'm posting is made of a peat pot. I painted the raw peat pot and then painted the pink dots. After that dried I covered with Mod Podge and sprinkled with a heavy glitter...then using silver pipe cleaners and hot glue gun I added a little sparkle....The next project is a large paper maache egg. It is not the proper egg that Lisa used in the class lesson but it worked okay. I actually took a knife and cute it down the center....I then painted the egg and mod poged it and added the glitter. These were fun projects to do. I have finished my last two just need to get them photographed....Happy Easter tomorrow everyone......

Easter Projects

Well I have been trying to post for two days and for reasons unknown I could not. I'm beginning to believe the gremlin that lives in my computer at work has moved home with me!!! Anyway I am posting a few cards today that I did for Lisa Pace's Hippity Hop Workshop. I had so much fun with this class and have completed all the projects except two that I plan to finish today. We did several cards that could actually be used other than Easter. One of the girls posted her sheep/lamb card as a "thinking of EWE" card which I though was really cute so I'll make a few extras of those up. Of course I always send Mom, Ms.Smith and Roger's sweet 90 yr old aunt cards coz they like to get them!!! hehe. If blogger will allow me I will post some project pics tomorrow. I am really hoping to post a step by step tutorial on the create paper flowers that I made because I love the effect it gives to pages, frames or just about anything. Happy Friday everyone....

What did we do before internet??????

Golly my internet and TV has been down for 5 days, what did we do before we had it? Roger and I have said that a dozen times in the past few days. I've missed my blog friends, my fiskateer buddies, my facebook friends/family I'm just plain spoiled and a slave to my laptop!!!LOL...Since I haven't uploaded any of my pics of my projects that I've completed for Lisa Pace's Easter class I will share some pics that I made of the "grands" this weekend....Jeremy took the girls to "Mule Day" in Columbia Tennessee and they had a ball...need to get some of those pics to scrap!!!! I have my Cricut class this week and also a class on "tear rabbits!!" using mulberry paper. I have seen "tear bears" forever and have wanted to learn to make them so much to my surprise and delight Brenda's layout of the month was a "tear rabbit" layout...I'll be sure to post that one when I complete....Well I'm so happy to be back in the cyber world once again....Have a great Tuesday everyone.....

Glitter up to my elbows!!

I have been playing in glitter all week. I am taking an on line class from my friend Lisa Pace who I consider the "glitter queen". You can see the link on my side bar. Anyway along with my first project for that class I am working on the girl's room at Jeremy and lets just say I'm glittering up their room as well!! The girls and I shopped for their room at their Daddy's today. We compromised, disagreed and of course in the end they got what they wanted!! I'll make some pics when we finish. I'm working on a couple of projects to go on the walls (that include of course glitter!!) It was a beautiful day in Tennessee and tomorrow is suppose to be even warmer. Roger and I went out on a "very rare date night" tonight. We laughed and said we're going to do this more but it's planting time almost so we'll see..anyway it was lots of fun. I'm sharing today a couple of layouts, one is my cricut layout this month was Ms. Bettye (aka Bet Bet) what I thought was a very simple layout was actually 20 steps and alot of fun. In choosing my pics I was going through old pics and I came across one of my daddy holding Brady not too long before he passed away. I had to use it and also one of Brady @ Halloween....so cute. The next layout is of the girls. another 5x7 I pulled out of the drawer. Black and white pic and I tried very hard to make a clean, simple layout...I try but I just can't!! LOL...Have a great Sunday!!

Wow where did this week go?? It seems I say that all the time but I truly do not know where time goes anymore...It has been a really nice week here in Tennessee and I'm so ready for pretty weather. Jeremy got moved into his apartment (YEAH!!!!) and I'm helping the girls do their bedroom this weekend...Robin says blue, Vannie says purple so who knows what we will come up with!! Today I'm sharing a layout that I did this past weekend. I have all kinds of 5x7 and 8x10 pics of the kids and I see now sense for them to set in the drawer...I'm gonna scrap them. I took Robin's pics from preschool that they do an old fashion dress up pic and decided to distress and work with the beautiful prima stuff that came in one of my Scrapbook Obsession kits...I'll post the second one I did tomorrow...Have a happy Friday!!

No Sunshine

Well after scrappin' all day yesterday I was not able to photograph anything that I did...We had rain all day yesterday and cloudy today so the photos I made were horrible. I hope that maybe one day this week the sun will shine and I will do some photographing....I worked with prima papers and flowers on Sat. to scrap some pics that I had of Robin that were made at her daycare (2yrs ago!) in vintage clothes. I had so much fun because vintage shabby chic is my favorite. Today I'm gonna post a couple of pics of a class I took in Cave City that was an awesome class. Lots of cuts, angles and finished product was great!! I'm now trying to decide which photos to use on the layout..have a great Monday everyone..

Today I'm sharing my layout of the month from my LSS. One of the girls at the store creates a two page layout and we get supplies and put our spin on it and bring it back the next month and that allows us to stay in the monthly fun.....clear as mud??!! LOL...anyway it was pink and I knew immediatly the girls were my subjects...I told them I needed to do a photo shoot and they were so funny. Robin loves to pose in her "model" pose postitions, well of course Vannie tries to mock her and it turns out so funny....Okay later in the week I'm gonna share my new found love IRIS FOLDING...I have had so much fun this weekend making cards using iris folding....Have a great Monday....

I thought I would post last month's cricut class since next week we have the March class. I wanted to also share some pics of Roger and I playing in the snow but for some reason Blogger is not letting me upload them. Feb. cricut class was one of my favorites....Ms. Bettye (aka Bet Bet) really did a fabulous layout for us to do. It was titled SHADES and after searching my pics I decided on one of Savannah that my son-in -law John had made of her back in the summer. I used the Picasa program (thanks Jing Jing)to do the different shades of sepia that I tinted the photos in. The butterflies were so pretty and that is the India Art Cart. I can't remember the cart. the words SHADES was done in but if you would like to know leave me a message and I'll ask Bettye and post. I'll upload more tomorrow if blogger will let me!!! LOL..

Fun Day @ Cave City

What a wonderful time Lilly and I had at the Cave City Kentucky Fiskars Fun Day. We went up Friday afternoon spent the night and were up early this morning ready to "play"!! We had wonderful classes, great make and takes lots of shopping and fabulous friends. My friend and lead fiskateer Rebecca Peck came and taught classes along with Stephenie Hamen one our legandery lead. I'm way to old to wish my life away but I tend to celebrate hump day!!! LOL. Today I'm posting just some simple cards that I made and sent to family for Valentines Day. I used the Fiskars heart squeeze with what I call the ruffle around it. It was in my bag of goodies from my FiskaFrenzy from Rebecca. I have used that little punch a ton. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new punches. Lilly and I are going to Cave City KY. to a Fiskars crop next week and I'm gearing up already. I don't really do well at crops coz I tend to socialize. Now those of you that know me I know you find that hard to believe!!! LOL..We are going to have several classes/make and takes so I'm really excited already. Okay so I'm gonna work on some layouts and get ready for my cricut class tomorrow night...Have a good Thursday everyone.....

Valentine Projects

Hopefully this week I can post a couple of my cards and projects that I have worked on for Valentines day. Even though I didn't get my mantle decorated I'm still putting a few things up. Kelly Jo put this project on the Fiskateer lead blog and it really caught my eye. I think she used larger pics and not quiet as many embellies but the jest is the same!!! I thought it would be good to put on my desk at work to cheer it up alittle!!! It is just made out of chipboard the size I used was 4 x 6 1/2 and covered it with my wonderful Valentine goodies that my friend Rebecca sent me from Cloud Nine and Fiskars. I used a piece of glitter felt and just cut a heart and used some netting and a couple of heart stick pins. The other different embellie is one that Lisa Pace had on her blog sometime ago and it is made from create paper....just plain ole create paper like when I was a kid that I used to decorate with all the time....I ran a running stitch on one edge with embordiary thread and pulled and that made the bunch effect. I then used stickles on the edges....I really enjoyed making this little project....thanks for visiting...

Well since it is almost time to have my next cricut class @ Sassy's I will share last month's page...I just love Ms.Bettye's cricut class as I learn something new each and every time. I did learn this time that it would have been much easier to have had the expression to do my owls with as my friends Lilly and Marsha told me. They both offered use of their's but me and the baby bug made it through!! LOL...The owls were 3 different cuts and I won't tell you how many times it took me!!! LOL Anyway I used Roger and Chubba on the beach in Naples Florida for this layout "Who's the Cutest"..I'll post my class this week soon!! Thanks for visiting....

I don't know about all of you but I'm ready for sunny and 80....I hate to even say anything after the hardships our neighbors Kentucky have had with all the ice but I was so glad to see the sun today...I am still working on ATC's I signed up for two more swaps after saying I was going to catch up before signing up for anything else...oh well. I am working on a Fairy Tale ATC card and just finished a couple that I will post today. I finished up my Valentine cards and did alittle Valentine project that I will post this week. Back to Reality!!!!

Well after a wonderful week in South Florida, Roger and I are back in the 'Boro. The campground we stayed in was so very nice and the Island that we were on (Pine Island) was beautiful and very slow paced. It was as the camp "social" director told me "Old Florida". Everyone road their bikes with wonderful bike trails everywhere and flowers blooming and they even mowed the grass while we were there. It's a nice change of pace believe me!! Roger for the 1st time that I can ever, ever remember was not ready to come back home. Chubba did wonderful and is a good traveler and camper!! I came home to 2 wonderful packages from Valerie and Laura from a couple of ATC swaps. I'm ready to get back in crafting mode. I have a couple of swaps I have to get busy on and of course several pics to scrap from the trip...okay I'm rambling as its time to go to bed. Later!!

New Toy

I must show you my new toy. My sweet mother in law gave me some Christmas money and I've been looking at these and doing my usual research on things and this is what I purchased. It is a HP photo printer. I love, love it. It is so small I can carry it anywhere. It will make 5x7 or 4x6. It also has a built in touch screen with lots of options to size, add clip art, make greeting cards, borders and it is very user friendly. I didn't want to get something that was so hard to figure out that I couldn't understand it. I looked at a Canon at our Fiskafrenzy (the rep was at our crop) and I liked that printer but actually this one does more and is a bit easier to use. Okay enough about my toy!! Roger and I leave for South Florida with the camper in the morning. I'm really excited as I've never actually been to this part of Flordia and I'm looking forward to the "warm" weather....The campground is suppose to have wi-fi so I'll try to upload some pics of where we are staying...see ya later!!

Happy New Year everyone. I have been working on a Christmas acrylic mini book today and will try to make some pics and post tomorrow. I'm going to post a couple of pics today one of Chase's birthday. Sissy and John let them pick the resturant of their choice on birthdays and Chase chose Fugi's. We had so much fun watching them prepare our food. The next pic is "reindeer dust" that I did for Robin's 1st grade class. I got to go to her Christmas party and had a really good time. The reindeer dust is very easy to do, you just take oats and add glitter and I added a few sequins to make a little more sparkle. You can add color sugar glittle crystals as well. I have lots of projects just no pics yet so I better get busy. I hope everyone has a happy, safe and prosperous New Year.....

I cannot believe it is Christmas. Who ever said that time passes faster when you get older was exactly on the money. I have been a terribly bad blogger and have been just as bad on my blog reading and I have truly missed it. Hopefully now that the hustle and bustle of the season is somewhat behind me I can play catch up. I have so much to share but will start with a couple of pics of the grandkids and I. I promised Savannah after Robin and I went to the Nutcracker last year, that she could go someplace special this year and we went to see the Rockettes at the Opry house. We had a wonderful evening. I bought them "pretty dresses" last year when they went on sale after Christmas and they both enjoyed dressing up. As a matter of fact Savannah asked her big cousin Brady where his pretty dress was!! LOL.....Anyway I made several gifts for the girls this year and will share pics in a day or two. Have a wonderful holiday season everyone.....

Roger has a Co-Op convention and guess who got to tag along!!!!! This is a late birthday and early Christmas for me...We went on the General Jackson last night and had a wonderful time. The show was "A Vegas Style Christmas" and they had look alikes for Tina Turner, Elton John and of course ELVIS...It was so cute and the food was awesome. We were at the table with farmers from though out Tennessee so Roger really enjoyed that. Tonight we are going to the Louise Mandrell's Country Christmas. Well we had our annual family Thanksgiving today and I am worn out. It is always so much fun but I am always beat when they all leave....I will post some pics later on in the week. We had so much fun playing corn hole at Bubba and Michelle's that Josh got the pattern from John and constructed several sets for Christmas gifts. Just going to wind up my blog post on the wonderful Fiska Friendzy this last weekend. We all boarded the party bus and went to a recording studio which was awesome and Cherrie lead us in recording a Fiska Boogie song that she wrote. Then back to crop some more and last but not least we went to Nashville Palace to dinner and line dance to our song...that is where our sweet Meghan was awarded the "big scissors" as Fiskateer of the Year....thanks so much to Fiskars and our Rebecca for an unbelievable Saturday...

FiskaFrenzy Saturday

Well of course we didn't get to bed until around 2:30 SAt. morning and were up early and I would have to get a sick headache....which I hated so much because this was a day I had looked so forward to....I tried my best not to let it get to me and we really, really had a ball. It was wonderful to meet all of the fun scrappers and do a make and take with Lil' Davis and Suzanne Fanning (Walker) was also there. It was an awesome time....The day started as I passed out tack pins and Hot tamales to all of the girls as they entered our huge scrap room!!! We had danish, muffins juice coffee and all the breakfast goodies. We started croppin' immediately. Lil' Davis who was acquired by Fiskars about this time last year was with us and they did awesome page kits make and takes. They were so nice and also Canon had a rep their that demoed photo printers which I might add were AWESOME...would totally love to have one of those, he made us 2 pictures of our choice from our SD card. Okay gonna post a couple of pics so far and will pick up maybe tomorrow or Wednesday...until later~~

That is the only word I can come up with to describe the weekend. It started on Friday morning when I loaded all the boxes that Rebecca had shipped to me and took off for Nashville. Rebecca Peck who is one of our Lead Fiskateers and host of our Nashville FiskaFrenzy, Bettye and I worked on putting together prizes and gift bags, name badges and all sorts of things before we took off for Sassy Scrapper in Murf. my home scrap store and Rebecca did make and take at a Friday night crop..we stayed 2 hrs there and then were off to Timeless Reflections in Hendersonville, Tn where Michelle Luther and all of her "croppin" girls made us feel so welcome. We did another couple of make and takes there and it was back to the hotel where we went back to our task of working on things for the next day. That is where I will end this post and pick back up tomorrow on our actual Fisk-A-Frenzy day....until later...

Well I'm off tomorrow to attend our Fiskateer event this weekend in Nashville. My friend and lead fiskateer Rebecca Peck will be arriving tomorrow morning @ 8:00 so I've got to get it together early and make my way to Nashville. We are going to set up tomorrow and then we have 2 scrapbook stores to visit tomorrow night and spread the Fiskars love. Then on Saturday it is Fiska-Frenzy Nashville style...hopefully I will have tons of pictures to share. Well its getting closer and closer to my FiskaFrenzy weekend...We had a chat in the chatroom tonight for questions and just fun talk...Rebecca has worked so hard to make it a wonderful time for all. I am posting today my tag for the tag swap. There were about 30 of us that are exchanging tags with Pinky heading the swap up. Then my next post is an ATC that is using the "house template" that Valerie uses for lots of ATC swaps. I made it a gingerbread house of sorts...I am enjoying these and actually have signed up for a couple of more so I've had hardly anytime to scrap pages!! Lilly and I took a class last night at Sassy's that was so much fun. I don't think I have laughed that much in a long time. Bettye and Brenda are just the best....I hope we're not "banned" from classes!!!! I will post the project sometime this week. It was an explosion box but not a simple one by any means...it had an acrylic pop up and also pockets so you see it wasn't simple at all!!! okay got to work on my christmas Atc's....until later..

Busy Blogger!!!

Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving? Where did this year go? It seems as though the older I get the faster time goes. I have worked on projects all weekend for our upcoming Fisk-a-Frenzy in Nashville this coming up weekend. I would share but I promised our Lead Fiskateer Rebecca that I would keep my mouth shut and believe me it is hard!!! It is going to be a wonderful, fun weekend and I can't wait. I will share my swap tags later on in the week but today I'm going to share a project that I'm working on called a Scrap-O-dex. Lee had a class at Sassy's about putting this together and of course we put our "own twist" to make it our own. I just have a couple of pages actually with photos on it, it could become an after Christmas project!! It has dividers for all 12 months and we covered with "month papers" and I decided to do pictures of the kids/grandkids that had a birthday in that month. On the pocket on the back is a pull out tag which I'm going to put a calendar that can be taken off each year. Just thought it was a cute project and a good possiblity for a Christmas gift. Halloween Fun

We had such fun Halloween night, I even got Big Daddy out of the field and into the fun. We went over to Sissy and John's house where Jeremy brought Robin and Savannah over to trick or treat. Of course John had the garage decorated with strob lights, a cooler full of dry ice and lots of fun things. I have to say I think Halloween is John's favorite holiday. He, Andy and Parker dressed up as Michael Myers and went around the neighborhood terrorizing the kids....it was fun watching them have fun!!! Of course its sad to me that Brady and Chase didn't go this year because they thought they were to big...I hate for my babies to grow up (isn't that selfish!! LOL)

Our Tennessee Titans are now 8-0. Isn't that just wonderful. Our dear friends Steve and Pat McKnight have a box at the Titans stadium and invite us really often to go to the games and we have so much fun. Well I finished the doll dress for Lexie's American girl doll to wear Halloween. She was very pleased and did think it looked enough like her costume to pass!! Now I have the fever to sew more doll clothes. I am so involved in ATC swaps on the Fiskateer board that I have got to get busy doing the swaps I'm promised to. Also I would like to do a HUGE shout out to my friend Laura Casey who was named Fiskateer of the Year for 2008. She is so very deserving of this award.- We are having a Fiskateer gathering on Nov 15 in Nashville and I am so looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Tomorrow night is Chase and Alyssa's first basketball game so I'm excited about going to that and hope to get some decent shots to scrap of course. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween. Well maybe almost. I have a couple of projects to finish and then I hoping to get lots of good pictures to scrap. I am posting one last Halloween card that I made last week and also what I have been working on all weekend. Lexie, my granddaughter loves American Girl Dolls and she called and wanted to know if I could make her an outfit for her doll to match her "Little Miss Muffet" outfit. Last year we did a 50's poodle skirt for her and a matching one for her doll. Of course I could never so no to my grandchildren so with high hopes that I could recreate "Little Miss Muffet" I got down a tub of doll patterns and starting putting things together. I have posted a couple of pictures of her outfit which I think Sissy ordered on line and I am hoping to put the finishing touches on the doll's outfit tomorrow night. It doesn't look exactly but close enough!!! I will post a pic later on in the week. I have also been making corn hole bags all weekend. 4 sets to be exact...needless to say my sewing machine is "smoking"...Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Campin'--Scrappin' Weekend!!

What a beautiful weekend we had. It was alittle chilly on Saturday but we campers braved the weather...actually we camped in our camper in the back yard!!! Big Daddy hooked her up for us and Brady, Savannah, Robin and I camped!! I had promised them forever to do this and where the time goes I don't know....anyway we had a ball. The Fiskateers had an online crop all day Saturday so I tried to get on and participate as much as possible so the girls and I decided to craft some Sat. night and craft we did....I think we bored Brady silly but at least he had UTUBE to keep him busy watching car burnouts and racing!!! I finished up my Halloween book from Bettye's awesome class and I will post some pics this week. Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Halloween Cards

Well I'm still on this Halloween thing!! I finished the grandkids Halloween cards tonight and wanted to post one. I used the same motief that I did with the ATC spooky cards. I love, love that haunted house and the ghosts with the stickles so I decided to create their cards the same way instead of the traditional pumpkin. I used Paper Dolls cricut cart. to create all of this. After Bettye's cricut class at my LSS and using paper dolls so much I got my courage up!!LOL..you see it is kinda hard to figure out which prompt is for which design, just a little challenge right Bettye!! That is the most versitile cart. I have ever seen. Okay so I need to get ready for bed. Lilly and I have a scrap-o-dex class tomorrow night and we are "draggin'" our friend Marsha with us. She has never been to one of our classes so we are hoping to capture her in our scrappin' web!! Have a good Thursday everyone..

Another ATC!!

Well I have officially finished all of the ATC swaps that I have signed up for (at the moment!!LOL) I just have to get them all postal. I am posting a picture today of my Thanksgiving ATC for my Fiskateer friend and fellow Nifty Fifty girl Laura...I wanted something that had a distressed look and detail. Well I just can't leave anything alone so I stamped an image and colored it with markers. I am collecting Copics (thanks MicheleO) and I'm slow, only have 5....they are so pricey I have to have a coupon at Hobby Lobby to afford them but believe me they are worth every penny. They are awesome to work with....moving on I wanted possibly burlap but then I picked up a tissue type wrapping paper that something from Pottery came in so I crumpled it up and inked it and stuck it on with ribbon and a button for a shimmer (you know it has to have either glitter, bling or shimmer for me!!) I sprayed them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. It's certainly not perfect but I had fun making them. I'll post about my class tomorrow but it will be a minute before I post my book...it was a MAJOR project but it is so cute....Have a great Tuesday everyone...

Productive Saturday

Well I actually think I had a pretty productive Saturday. I managed to get some fall decorations up, vaccum, finish laundry, go have my car cleaned up and finished up a mini album that is a Christmas gift for one of my daughter-in-laws. I love days when I seem to get more done. I'm really excited about a couple of classes I have next week at Sassy Scrapper. Bettye is teaching a "Little Yellow Bicycle" Halloween Haunted House mini book. It is soooo cute and lots and lots of details. I will post some pics next week. I am posting today my Cricut layout from Thursday night. I had so much fun doing this layout. We used Paper Dolls cartridge and George for the word EEK!!!! We ran the tree and the kitty cat through the Cuttlebug which really adds dimension to the project. I wanted to put some last years pics of the kids but I have refrained myself I will wait till this year!! LOL...

I just put a photo on my September Cricut class layout. Bettye always has a super project for us. This layout was one that could be used for any occasion. I used it to of course display pictures of my kids/grandkids (my favorite subjects!!). We have been incorporating the Cuttlebug on several of our layouts lately as well and I love the look when we use embossing folders. We got a sneak peak today our our October layout and it is awesome. I will share it with you maybe next week...Have a good Tuesday!!

Well I have joined in on a couple of more ATC swaps...they are so much fun and I love swaping and getting everyone's work in return. I am going to post a couple that I have finished and I lack my Thanksgiving one...I haven't worked it out in my mind yet but I'm sure I will. We had Roger a 60th birthday party this weekend at Bubba and Michelle's new home. It was so nice and so much fun. All of the kids were there except Jamie and David and they were both in a wedding in Knoxville. I'm gonna post a couple of pics from that. I hope everyone has a wonderful week..

Long Time No Post

I honestly do not know where all my time goes. I must not use if wisely. Chase and Brady are still in fall ball and I'm having the best time with that. There last two games are this week and I'm sorry to see it end. Roger and I went camping last weekend but silly me did not take any pictures. When the grandkids aren't with me I tend to forget to make pics!! I'm hoping we get to go another weekend in October as fall is my favorite time to camp but he is really busy with harvest so we'll see. I'm gonna share a couple of pics today of my step son Bubba combining corn with the new combine. Also Josh has started a MAJOR project of restoring and I mean major restoring a car. It is a Mustang coupe and he calls it his winter project (maybe more than one winter!!) He gets that love from his Daddy as Butch loved fooling with old cars but then so did my dad so he got a double whammy of it!! Well I am deep into ATC swaps and have gone postal with a couple but will try to get some shots and post them tomorrow of my finished products...I am just lovin' doing those little bugers.....

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I finished up my banner for Halloween on Sat. and will post a couple of pictures. It was fun to make, I got the idea from Stephanie Ackerman's Holiday Home magazine and put my own spin on it! I took chipboard and cut it out then covered it was pattern paper. I used my treading water punch and did a trim around the board. Then I shadowed the letters with my cricut to say "BOO 2 U"....I may glitter them up alittle to just give a little shine. I embellished with some foam pumpkins and some pom poms. I punched some holes with my crop-a-dile and ran some hay twine to string. Then I just cut ramdom halloween color ribbons to add to the look. I promised the grandkids we would put up the decorations in a week or so this is just alittle something new to add....have a good week!!

Halloween bug has bit again!!

I am really on a roll with this Halloween stuff. I think it is one of my favorite times to scrap. On the Fiskateer site I am involved in an ATC swap for Halloween. I had alot of fun doing these and actually learned some things. I just googled halloween prints and about a zillion came up!! I printed and cut these out and used mod podge to adhere my cardstock (purple) to my chipboard on both sides and also used the mod podge to adhere the cute little witch. Then I coated the entire front and sprinkled the fine glitter just to give a little shimmer. I then embellished with stones and stickles on some Maya Road stars, stamped the back and put my info and there you have a Halloween ATC...I am working on another Halloween project that I will share in a couple of days...Let's just say I have to wait for Roger to bring me some hay twine to finish!!! enough of a hint??!!!

I don't know what has come over me, maybe its all of my magazines coming in with the cool Halloween layouts and projects but I'm in the mood for fall/halloween decorating. The first project that I am going to share is the Halloween Advent Calendar that I put together this last weekend. It was so much fun to do. I went to the Dollar Tree and picked up the small size cookie sheets. I went through my "stash" and pulled out Halloween papers and embellies that I had from last year. I used the Jeepers Creepers paper by Heidi Grace to do the base. The letters are glossy thickers that were in my SO kit last month. Then I just started using my punches and small Halloween goodies for the days and put a magnet on the back. Let me know what you think!! Roger is so excited we are actually getting rain. We have not had rain in like 21 days. I hate to post this because I know my Florida friends and MichelleO in Texas have all had their share but we are really, really dry. Got a couple of layouts completed tonight. I am trying to tie up a few loose ends before I start anymore layouts. I have to finish Mama's book and then I hope to try to get started on some Christmas gifts...you know we will blink and it will be here.

Well we won our first ballgame....YEAH..You may wonder why I'm so excited about a ballgame..well Brady is 12 yrs old and this is the first time he has ever played a sport in "our town". We have always had to travel at least a hour and sometimes more to see him in any sport he has played. Christi has moved closer and she agreed to let him play in Murfreesboro this fall because this is the only time that he and his cousin Chase will get to play together. Son-in-law John coaches the team and does an awesome job. Josh's girlfriend Selena's son is also playing on the team so you can imagine the cheerleader that I am!!! LOL..Just wanted to share a few pics I made last night...I snapped away trying not to embassas them all....

Monday Monday

Happy Monday all....boy was that a short weekend or was it just me....they get shorter everyweek I believe. I actually did some scrapbookin' this weekend and had a ball. I took one of my favorite classes Sunday afternoon @ Sassy's from Amie who is an awesome teacher. I will post pics of that when I decide what photos I'm going to use on the layouts. It was a pleating effect look but we didn't actually pleat the paper...I will explain more when I upload. I will post two layouts that I finished. One I actually started in my Cricut class and finished off with some random birthday pics from Brady's 12th birthday and the other one is a layout from Florida that I copied from Colette Bates who is a design team member @ Scrapbook Obsessions...I changed mine a bit with the sizes of pics and some of the embellishments but pretty much same design...Well Josh just called and he is building another car...at least this one is not a dirt track car this one is a drag car...or maybe just a as he would say a "my day" hot rod...That's another story anyway I'm gonna go over and start pics from the ground up for him and he even said I could make him a scrapbook!!! LOL....till later....

Today is my Robin's 6th birthday. I called her earlier and wished her a wonderful day and be it one of the hardest things I have done yet, I won't get to see her today on her birthday. I have gone through this with Brady for years but it doesn't make it any easier believe me. Next weekend we are going to have her a party here with cousins and ballgame and food and our usual outing but it is hard to see that fun today. I hate to post down things but this is just my feelings today maybe if the sun were shining I would feel better....anyway I have lots to do today, I have 2 or 3 scrapbook projects I need to finish before I move on to anything else and I need to do some yard work later on so I need to get busy...hope everyone has a wonderful weekend....

It is so hard for me to come up with facts about myself but I'll try.... 1) I am an only child and have always hated it.... 2) I love to read. (almost as much as crafting!!) 3) I can't swim. ( I can't stand to put my head under water) 4) I use to teach country line dancing... 5) I love to travel...be it camping or just traveling in general I love it... 6) I am a blog-a-holic...I love to read blogs and watch webisodes.... Boy how is that for boring....Okay it you are reading this consider yourself tagged!!!! Lilly and I finally got back around to going to back to scrapbook classes tonight. She had surgery and was down for 5 weeks and well my summer has been let's see busy and not the best one I have ever had so we have been missing our classes. Tonight we went to MS BETTYE's cricut class and had a ball. I am going to mat some pics and put it up sometimes this weekend. I have made about 9-10 cards this week so that has been my crafting story for awhile. I will see if I have a pic to post of one of the cards. Have a good Friday everyone!!

Boys and Shoes

You know when Jeremy and Josh were growing up their biggest treat was a new pair of shoes....they loved "Jordan's" and anything else that was all the rage. Josh who actually draws quiet well use to "design" tennis shoes when he was about 9 or 10. I need to look up some of those drawing and show Brady. Anyway on to my story, Brady is just like them. He loves shoes so much and for his birthday this year he wanted to design his own shoes. Now is that not amazing...we went to Nike ID on the web and there it was big as life "design your own shoes". Well one of his best friends and his cousin Chase and I sat and worked on those tennis shoes forever. It really was quiet fun and he could not wait for them to arrive. I would get notices of their progress and of course text him and let him know and finally 2 days before schedule they arrived...he was one happy young man!!

Bad Blogger!!

I have been a very bad blogger. I just can't seem to keep everything going anymore. After all day at work I'm about zapped, that's not a good sign is it!! LOL...I signed up for an ATC swap on the Fiskateer website and those of you that read my blog (all 2 of you) know I screwed up the last time I was doing a ATC swap and signed up for tag swap. Well let me tell you Deborah did an awesome job with the tag swap and I've really enjoyed my tags. I am going to take a pic of them for the blog maybe tomorrow she was also so sweet and RAK'd me a hugh baggie of ribbon. Anyway back to my ATC swap, I have to do an acrylic ATC. I'm posting my take on it after much thinking and forgetting to go to Sassy and get a piece of Hambly, I finally decided to us a transparancy with a printed Hambly over it...it turned out okay but I'm still not savvy with the spray adhesive..I've got a couple of cards to share tomorrow...Have a great Tuesday!!

Finally Friday

WhooHoo Friday....you would think after being on vacation I wouldn't be so glad to see Friday.....NOT....I love Fridays. It is suppose to be a very hot weekend so hopefully I will get some pool time, need to do housework, need to do yardwork oh well....Brady and Chase have a scrimmage tomorrow so I don't want to miss that..It's going to be a busy one. I arrived home today to a very nice surprise from Fiskars. About a couple of months ago Fiskars sent out a call to the Nifty Fifty about doing some tags for CHA for the "celebraties" to sign for give aways at CHA. They in turn always make up anything you do with goodies and this time was no exception. I received a nice package today with a pair of CLOUD 9 Scissors and one of my tags authgraphed by Amy and Nancy the founders of Cloud 9....also a "tag your it" squeeze punch....way cool package. I will post a pic that I took of it and the sweet thank you card. Also I have a quick photo of my album that I have started for Mama, I am so into this heritage thing...I'll try to post some pics of my boys scrimmage tomorrow....happy friday!!

Boy it is hard to get back into the swing of work after being on vacation. Of course Marsha came through about an hour after I got there and asked if I felt as though I had never been gone??!! Of course I replied yes!!! Anyway I'm still on a vacation high with my pictures. My friend Colette asked where we went and were the beaches really that beautiful (looking at the picture of my darling husband doing his favorite thing on vacation....sleeping!) We went to Pensacola Beach, Florida and it was truly beautiful. The beaches were so white and clean the the water was beautiful the only bad thing was lots of jelly fish. Pensacola Beach is an island unto itself and is truly beautiful. We stayed in friends condo on the 12th floor and the view was to die for. Well its almost bedtime for me so until later......

Well vacations are wonderful but as I told my friend MichelleO next year my laptop is going with me...I know I'm sick but I miss my blogs and my scrapbooking buddies...We had a wonderful time and enjoyed Bailey and Beau a ton. (you too Michelle and Bubba!!) The weather was beautiful even though Dolly was kickin' up in the gulf..we were just in the right place on the gulf!! I have printed off a few pics and hope to get some scrappin' done this week and post a couple but I'm gonna be adding a few pics everyday from vacation..I have also started Mama a small heritage album from one of my Scrapbook Obsession add ons and will post a bit of it. Until later....

I told "my girls" on SO board today that I was sure they could tell I needed a vacation...I just could not get my motor going tonight to do anything, so I finished a couple of layouts that I want to share. They are of 3 of my grandsons playing spring/summer ball. One was a challenge on another board to see how many elements we could get on a page. That was a fun challenge. The other is Ben and Zach and on it I was just trying a couple of things out that I got in my last Scrapbook Obsessions kit. Well I must get ready for bed until later.....

Okay vacation countdown and yes Colette I would love for you to count down with me...Vacations time is so precious there are never enough days!!! I am going to upload my acrylic album today and I have a ton of mistakes on it. I was really unsure of the adhesive as I researched and found alot of pros for spray adhesive. That is the first time I have used that and I kind of got a film look or foggy look between acrylic, picture and acrylic (hope that makes sense). Anyway any suggestions would be appreciated. I just wanted to do a fun, bright, summer album and also with little bits of things they all like. I can't wait to do another one they are fun....I'm now working on some baseball layouts for the boys....maybe I can get those posted this week...thanks again for visiting!!!

Well I'm starting my count down to vacation....boy and do I need it. I have 5 days to work until vacation...As usual I don't really have anything ready but it won't take me long to throw my things in luggage and be off!!! As usual this has been a short weekend and I forgot to included my layout of Bailey in my previous post so I'm going to try and load it today. It's hard to believe Brady is 12 yrs old. My DIL Regan said tonight at his party this just does not seem right he is growing up way to fast...I totally agree. They are all growing up so fast. Vannie is the youngest anymore and she is 3 yrs old. We had a very nice time at his party and of course the "big kids" played hard as well. For some strange reason I did my hair and put on makeup (what was I thinking??) of course I was wet in a matter of minutes with my crazy bunch!! Josh and Selenna did a wonderful job on the food and party...Happy Birthday my Bradyman!!

Had to Make A New Blog

As my friend Jing Jing so gracefully put it....my previous blog was "cooked"....I don't know what happened but it would not let me receive comments and then after trying to post my 4th of July layout and photos and giving me all kinds of letters I decided to do away with that one and recreate....I hope this one works okay. I'm alittle late with this post but wanted to add a couple of pics and layout that I did for 4th of July. My DIL Shell, grandkids Bailey, Beau, Big Daddy and I went to the the 4th of July celebration at MTSU. We had the best time. The kids played games, had their face painted, the symphony played and a wonderful display of fireworks...what a fun night. I'm gonna include a couple of pics of that and a layout that I made of Bailey with her face painted...I'm so excited about having my boring blog back.....
